Just a rumor

So sadly I do not get to go to Winnipeg. But perhaps I'll be in Calgary or Lethbridge... wherever I go hopefully it will still be interesting and enjoyable. I hope you are all having a good day. I'm writing here to keep from falling asleep. In my biology class my notes were very messy to day as I kept drifiting off. The ends of my words kept getting tiny as I was trying to write with eyes closed? Anyways I've been pretty good except being extremely tired. I had a good belated birthday party with a friend. I thought we should've played Pots but then it didn't happen. Anyways I will just end this....

African dancing!

So, last week i started dance class again, for the first time in two years! i decided to go back to jazz dance, but i wanted to take another one, so......i'm taking an african dance class..which is pretty fun, both classes, especially since they're both adult classes! i joined the french dance school this time (the other times was an english one), anyway, since i'm completely surrounded by french people, who all think i'm french too, it forces me to keep practicing more, so i'm really likeing that too. anyway, the african dance really reminds me of the first week in africa when a bunch of us kept going to those dance classes..such a good memory! well, i hope you all have a afntastically, wonderful day!

Dear Winnipegers:

Hey guys,

Ok, so I kind of have some news. But it's not official or anything. So i saw this poster in one of the university buildings and it was for volunteering at this mentally disabled community (i'm not exactly sure of the details) called L'arche, and one of the cities it was in was Winnipeg, so I put in an application and so who knows?? What I'm hoping is that since they pay for the flight I could stay a few days later and get to see some of the Manitoba crew. Anyways, I was excited. So yeah, oh and if any of you have ever heard of L'arch there could tell me a bit about it? Oh and this is all over Feb. break...

Happy New Year and wow it's great to have Karl Here

Here it is, 2006! Wow, I can't believe that the year has already sprung apon us, and to think that this time last year we were all jumping out of our skin in excitment to get on the plane to Africa! It is weird to think back to last year in January; where I was, what I was doing, what I was thinking, and how I was spiritually, emotional, and socially. It's bizzare, but really neat at the same time. For goodness sakes, I wouldn't have even dreamed that I would be dating anyone in a year, and CABAMM! here I am with my great boyfriend from Calgary, who I met on Outta Town, here in my room with me! Wow, that is insane to think about, but absolutely fantastic. This year has been full of unexpected twists and turns, and alot of change that has been both good and hard. I've been in England (stop over), Africa, all over the entire Western part of Canada and back again. I've worked in a youth centre, with blue collar factory workers, and as a youth leader/pastor. It's crazy, and God has taken me on quite the journey. Let me just say that it has been a year of the unexpected, and a year of faithfullness! I am totally pumped for what God has for me for this year. Sweet deal!
